Descriere
Adam Bodor is a master of short forms. With him, silence is often more eloquent than spoken words; his heroes, who have special names, usually only speak when they really want to say something. But then, the statements have weight. The volume containing short stories written over more than half a century spectacularly illustrates the exciting differences and parallels between the shorter prose genres in Bodor's creative workshop. That the different text types were not necessarily born in a closed period, but were constantly alternating. Thus, we can read the minimal prose of the broader Szenegeto era, the short stories marked by the volume Vissza a fulesbagolyhoz, and the longer stories familiar from his late masterpiece, Nowhere, next to each other and in a different order. The order of the volume was created by the author: the rhythm overrode mere chronology. Whether it's a few paragraphs or two dozen pages, Bodor always creates and shows a whole world. As he himself admits in an interview: "You can't get tired of the short story."
