A field of interdisciplinary research, heritage studies are closely related to culture and identities, as well as to public space. The public space, besides its function as a space of circulation, where the individuals become aware of their belonging to a community and their sociability is also a canvas for the symbolic construction through the political, social and cultural processes. The present volume, as an outcome of the international conference "Cultural Heritage, Identities and The Public Space", organized under the framework of the PATCULT#R0 project, represents a collection of studies covering a wide range of topics, such as: transmission and identity; innovative instruments for hoarding and promotion of cultural heritage; the role of paradoxes in shaping culture and identities; evolution of identities; placemaking and the European Capital of Culture; and, cultural heritage and the policies of de-radicalization.
