Matching and Sorting (Funtastic Frogs, Grade K -2)

Age range: 4-8 This book is one in a series of books designed to develop children's mathematical thinking. Each book supports the use of Funtastic Frog Counters in activities that teach key mathematical concepts. In Funtastic Frogs: Matching & Sorting, Grades K-2, children will use the frog counters in activities to: sort and match objects according to color and size; sort objects into groups or sets that are alike; find groups or sets that are the 'same'; compare groups or sets to find which has 'more' or 'fewer'; find relationships between groups or sets; sort objects using Venn diagrams; observe relationships to make a sorting rule; find objects that belong to more than one group or set. The activities in this book are designed to develop children's matching, sorting, and classifying skills using the attributes of color and size.
