Tiny Pie

Little Ellie the elephant is home while her parents are throwing a grown-up party - and she gets hungry for a snack! Mom and Dad are preoccupied, so she's left to fend for herself when her tummy goes 'rumble rumble rumble'. Ellie is out of luck when she can't reach the table of desserts, or the cookie jar in the kitchen, or the freezer. It seems as though everything is for big people...or is it? At that moment Ellie hears a little voice coming from a tiny mouse hole. A live cooking show is going on in her kitchen, and the chef mouse is baking a tiny pie! With artwork featuring classic and nostalgic styles and the text transitioning from prose to playful verse, little readers will be taken on a spectacular baking journey. They'll be taken through the five senses, steps involved to complete the recipe (all demonstrated by the adorable chef mouse), and a magical little hole in the wall where even the tiniest creatures can bake, too. And on the last page, a tiny apple pie.
